Browse heritage restaurants, butchers, and grocers around you, every one verified by hand, with halal certification surfaced where it matters. Open to diners of every background.
We're finalizing certificate checks with every merchant before we open the map publicly. Join the waitlist and we'll let you know the day pins go live in your neighborhood.
Join the waitlistNo self-declared shortcuts. Each merchant passes a three-step VORA halal check before their first order goes live and gets re-checked every 90 days.
We collect the original halal certificate from the issuing body JAKIM, HFA, HMC, IFANCA or a recognized local authority and verify it directly with the certifier.
We trace the meat back to the abattoir and the pantry back to its halal-certified distributors. Every ingredient touching the kitchen has a paper trail.
A VORA reviewer walks in, inspects storage, cookware separation and prep, then revisits without warning at least once every quarter.
Every verified pin, live on your phone: search by neighborhood, filter by cuisine, and order the moment you find home.

Verified pins (orange) have completed all three steps of the VORA halal check certificate, supplier audit, and an unannounced in-person visit. They’re re-checked every 90 days.
Self-declared pins (grey) are merchants who told us they’re halal but haven’t completed the audit yet. You can toggle them off entirely at the top of the map.
We accept certificates from any major recognised authority, including HFA and HMC (UK), IFANCA and HMA (US/Canada), JAKIM (Malaysia), MUI (Indonesia), ESMA (UAE), SFDA (Saudi Arabia) and reputable local councils.
If your certifier isn’t on the list yet, contact our merchant team and we’ll review it.
Every 90 days. A VORA reviewer either revisits the kitchen unannounced or runs a remote audit (supplier invoices, updated certificate, kitchen photos). If anything is unclear, the pin pauses until it’s resolved it doesn’t silently go grey.
Yes, every pin has a “Report an issue” link in its detail view. Reports go straight to the verification team and trigger a fresh audit within seven days. We never share who filed a report with the merchant.
Apply through VORA Merchant. Upload your halal certificate and a few photos of your kitchen, and our verification team schedules an in-person visit within two weeks. There’s no listing fee.
Always. Browsing, filtering, and saving merchants is free for the community with or without a VORA account. We make money when you order through a merchant’s storefront, not when you look at the map.
Yes, we only verify fully halal kitchens. If a merchant serves any non-halal item, alcohol, or shares prep surfaces with non-halal meat, they cannot earn the verified pin. Mixed-kitchen merchants are listed separately under a clear “Mixed kitchen” label.
